Jesus Reigns Forevermore!

He is our Lord, He is the Messiah!

Welcome brothers and sisters!

Wonderful is the day, that salvation, repentance and a new heart given to us by God in Christ.  Let us never forget from where we came, what we were saved from and by whom are we saved.

Last Saturday we continued forward into Psalm 2, where we see the beautiful highlight of God the Father and God the Son as our Heavenly Father reminds the world who reigns.  We should rejoice with heaven that Jesus Christ is God's anointed one, His Messiah, His King...for our King reigns supreme and has provided even the propitiation for our very sins that we can be with Him together forever.  We invite you to watch and share the latest sermon, as Pastor Scott takes us verse by verse through Psalm 2 and also ask that you as always be sure to check everything according to the scriptures.  Scripture, the word of God will never lead us wrong and will never reveal anything but the truth.  Below is a review from Saturday's sermon but we hope to hear from you when we meet next as well.  Tell us how the Lord has been working in your life, how He has saved you from the raging ways of this world.

The Triumph of God’s Anointed

Psalm 2 explores the tension between earthly rulers and the divine King. Here are the key verses:

  1. Nations Conspire:
  • The nations plot in vain against the Lord and His anointed (Jesus Christ).
  • Their rebellion is futile; God’s sovereignty remains unshaken.
  1. Divine Laughter:
  • The One enthroned in heaven laughs at their feeble attempts.
  • God’s authority transcends human schemes.
  1. God’s Declaration:
  • God declares His chosen King: “You are my son; today I have become your father.”
  • The anointed one (Jesus Christ) receives divine authority, see also Matt 28:16-20.
  1. Warning to Earthly Rulers:
  • Earthly kings are urged to be wise, serve the Lord, and celebrate His rule.
  • Kiss the Son [surrender your life to Him] (our Lord Jesus) to avoid destruction.
  1. Blessed Refuge:
  • Those who take refuge in God find true blessing.

Reflection:

Psalm 2 reminds us that earthly powers pale in comparison to God’s sovereignty. May we seek refuge in Christ Jesus and find our blessedness in Him.

With that said, we truly hope to see you as we meet to worship, fellowship and have a meal together each week.  We need to build each other up in our most holy faith, always remember the Lord Jesus Christ.  Be sure to contact us for anything we may be able to help you with in your Christian walk and until we meet again, lets go serve our King!
