About us

 Welcome! Let's Meet!

Chaplain Scott Thompson has worked as a Volunteer Chaplain inside Alaska’s largest Correctional Facility since the opening of Goose Creek Correctional Center in 2013. During this time he was instrumental in bringing The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI) into GCCC.  In January of 2015 Chaplain Thompson started Faith Recovery Fellowship to provide chaplaincy ministry inside GCCC as well as support for those who are reentering society. TUMI classes are also being held in the community to make this valuable training available to area church members.

In August of 2019 Scott along with a volunteer staff started FRF Saturday Night. This service has grown into a tremendous outreach into the community of ex-incarcerated as well as the homeless community here in the Matsu Valley.

Our Faithful Team

Faith

Faith is the cornerstone of our church. It is part of every activity that we do, every meeting that we hold. We believe in our Lord, and that our actions are a reflection of his goodness.

Scripture

We look to the Lord for guidance in our lives. In Scripture, we find all that we need to guide us in the right path. Reading and understanding Scripture helps us all know our Lord and live for Him.

Community

Join us. We welcome each and every one of you to encounter the Lord's incredible love for us. Inside each of us is a purpose and meaning to be fulfilled by God. He is rich in Mercy!
