More about Pastor Gus

Pastor Gus Rich is devoted to proclaiming the life-changing hope of Jesus Christ wherever and whenever he can. He and his wife, Kelly, who shares his commitment to ministry, serve together with a heart for the broken, the bound, and the searching. For Gus, both the home and the local church are mission fields where the Gospel is lived out, proclaimed, and passed on to the next

generation through intentional relationships. At the core of everything he does is a deep passion for making the love of Christ known; not just through words, but by personally embodying that love in every interaction, every relationship, and every moment of ministry. After retiring from the United States military, Gus carried the same commitment to service he developed in uniform into the church and community, showing up for people at their best and at their worst.

His ministry experience began in the lower 48 before expanding to Alaska, and is built on a relational and deliberate approach that includes expository preaching, intentional discipleship, youth mentorship, church leadership, and strategic outreach. At the heart of it all is one mission: to make Christ known and make disciples of all nations, fulfilling the Great Commission one

personal interaction at a time. For Gus, that means being the hands and feet of Jesus, meeting people exactly where they are, and loving them the way Christ first loved us. Having personally experienced the saving grace and mercy of Christ, Gus carries a deep compassion for those bound by addiction, brokenness, and life-dominating sin. He knows firsthand that no one is beyond the reach of God's redeeming love. His greatest desire is to see men, women, and families transformed by the power of the Gospel, set free, restored, and

walking in new life through Jesus Christ. At Faith Recovery Fellowship, that passion has found its home.
