Called to be one, as He is one

Welcome brothers and sisters!

We hope you are enjoying this blessed day that the Lord has given us all.  Below is a summary from last Saturday's message as we started the 4th chapter of Ephesians.  We encourage you to always check everything according to the scriptures and share the Gospel at every chance you get.

Living a Life Worthy of Your Calling: A Reflection on Ephesians 4:1-5

In Ephesians 4:1-5, the Apostle Paul urges us to live a life worthy of the calling we have received. This call isn't just a gentle reminder; it is a profound instruction that resonates with the very core of our Christian journey.

Paul begins with a heartfelt plea for us to walk in humility, gentleness, and patience. These virtues are not just ideals to aspire to, but essential components of a life grounded in faith. Humility keeps us grounded, gentleness fosters empathy, and patience allows us to bear with one another in love.

The passage emphasizes the importance of unity within the body of Christ. Paul calls on us to make every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. This unity isn't merely a superficial agreement, but a deep, spiritual connection that binds us as one body in Christ.

Paul highlights that there is one body and one Spirit, just as we were called to one hope. This is central to our faith. We share one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. This profound unity calls us to transcend our differences and embrace the common purpose of glorifying God.

In essence, Ephesians 4:1-5 challenges us to reflect on our lives and strive to live in a manner worthy of our divine calling. It encourages us to embody humility, gentleness, patience, and love in our daily interactions, and to work diligently to preserve the unity of the Spirit. As we meditate on these verses, let us commit to fostering unity and peace within our communities, living out our faith with integrity and grace.

We pray that this has been helpful and hope to see you each Saturday at 7pm for worship, fellowship and a meal afterward.  Until we meet again, lets go serve our King!
