It is better to...

Welcome brothers, sisters and friends!

We are back with another sermon to share with everyone and before we do let's take a moment to give God thanks because He is worthy!  Not a day or moment goes by that our Lord doesn't have our needs met, from beginning to end...before the foundation of the world!  God is very much sovereign in our lives, let's all remember to give heed to His wisdom and call, amen?

This past week we have begun that rapid change into the Alaskan winter, the cold is coming, season is changing...but the Lord our God remains!  We pray the warmth in our hearts is from God alone toward one another, in Christ.  This week we were thankful to have Pastor Jaime to fill in for Pastor Scott and bring quite the powerful message indeed, centering on the Apostle Paul's desire to depart and be with Christ or stay and build up his brothers and sisters in the Philippian church! (Our scripture for the night was Philippians 1:19-23) Certainly a message that transcends times and people's, for we can share in what the Apostle would have been going through in those moments a bit hmm?  Every Christian should certainly desire to be with the Lord, for there is nothing in all creation that could compare...with that said, we should take advantage of the time He has given us here too and share the very message that transforms hearts, saves souls and brings other to Him as well. So the answer to whether we should go or stay is..."Yes"  :) both!

We also have been meeting on Wednesdays for prayer time at 6:30 pm to bring before the Lord the prospect of Faith Recovery Fellowship, moving to a new building or stay where we are for a time longer.  We certainly encourage everyone that can attend to come and pray with us, fellowship with us and be encouraged in the Lord.  Every decision we make should always be weighed with what the Lord would have us to do, and that in all things...amen!  With that said we encourage you to watch the video from Saturday for study, growth and to share with others.  It's been said that we should not "wait for the right moment to share the gospel", for how could we truly hold back the very message of salvation from someone who needs to hear it.  The bible teaches that today is the day and now is the acceptable hour, the Holy Spirit knows better than we, so we should share without worry of it being "the right moment".

Don't forget to visit us online here, or in person for worship each Saturday at 7 pm (with a meal followed of course), and now Wednesdays at 6:30 pm for prayer!  Let's continue building each other up in our most Holy faith, and proclaim the Gospel, making disciples of all nations!  Jesus is with us to the very end of this age!

Until we meet again, let's go serve our King!
