Taste and See, the Lord is Good

Let us Praise Him at all times!

Hello and Welcome!

It's been quite the week amen?  Winter sure is arriving quickly, bringing with it the hallmark cold days of the Alaskan outdoors, so be sure to come and see us on Saturday nights to feed your soul with the Gospel, your belly with a meal and your heart with fellowship of likeminded believers!  God is good amen?  All the time, He is!  Every day that goes by there is much that we take for granted, rather than giving God the right heart of thanksgiving toward who He is and what He has done for us, let's take a moment today to just that amen?  Then, let's make that our daily habit...all throughout the day!

It sure is good to be able to share with everyone the wonderful work that our Lord is doing, and He gives us that great opportunity to share with everyone on Saturdays exactly that.   This last weekend was wonderful, filled with heartfelt testimony, thanksgiving and rich in the very love God lavishes upon us in Christ.  Pastor Scott took some time Saturday night to share the heart and mind of David, as he wrote the 34th Psalm.  David at the time of writing, was in a rather difficult place where his King (Saul) was searching for him to take his life, and he went to King Achish to get away...Achish was Israel's enemy!  David was between two armies at that moment that would have loved to take him out surely, even feigning madness before King Achish...but God (these moments are great!) was still priority in David's heart and soul, that he continually offered praise to God even in the roughest of times.  David knew that the Lord was encamped around him!  Pastor Scott also sheds light on how David also encouraged others to join him in praising God, a call all of us should run gladly too.  Our video for the week is quite wonderful, first because it shares the Gospel and second, because it's done so in love.  We really encourage you to take some time to watch, share and revisit whenever you need!

In our ministry we are in a very unique position, as we get to see the very workings of God in the lives of people who are counted completely out by the world.  Keep this in mind though, when you are on God's side...you are never out and never outnumbered!  Invite others to come and hear the Gospel, there is no better news than what God has said...none.  Sin can be forgiven, even the most heinous of sorts, for God is rich in mercy and delights in forgiving sinners that humble themselves and repent, putting their trust and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.  There is a price...what does it cost you might think...well...everything.  It costs you your way of life, but God (there it is again!) has something far greater to give you in return...His Son.

Today is the day, and now is the acceptable hour dear friends, repent and believe the Gospel, then share it with all!

We hope to see you this Saturday at 7pm for worship, fellowship and a meal and until we meet again, let's go serve our King!
